Oral Cancer Research

Cycling long distances can be hard, but facing cancer is harder. Since 2017, Dr. Karim has united with passionate colleagues and fellow riders to help raise funds for oral cancer research and the BC Cancer Agency in the Tour de Cure. Dreaming to make the impossible possible.

Annual UBC Dentistry Scholarship

As a proud Alumni of UBC Dentistry, Dr. Karim has been a long time supporter of students. Dr. Karim annually awards a $2000.00 scholarship to a UBC Graduate Orthodontic student who demostrates leadership skills and excellence in professionalism in the Faculty of Dentistry. Since 2009, the Rashida Ali Award in Dentistry is an annual gift from Dr. Karim in honor of his late Aunt who was an incredible supporter of his during his school years. 

UBC Graduate Orthodontics Alumni Award

Dr. Karim along with his UBC graduate orthodontics alumni and community helped establish the first ever endowed award for graduate students at the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC. This is an ongoing committment of support for current and future students. It is an honor and privilege to give back and support the UBC Graduate Orthodontics Program with the Graduate Orthodontics Alumni Award!
