DR. ASEF KARIM
Dr. Asef Karim has been running Blundell Orthodontics since 2014 and loves being an orthodontist. He takes time getting to know each of his patients and develops a customized orthodontic plan that suits their specific personal and lifestyle needs. He keeps up to date with the latest advances and technologies in orthodontics and considers learning a lifelong process.
As a clinician, he makes informed decisions for his patients based on sound science. He has had the privilege of doing research and published peer-reviewed articles in a broad range of areas including implants and orthodontics, dental public health, dental care in remote areas, and orthodontic treatment needs of Indigenous children in Haida Gwaii.
As a board-certified orthodontist, he has the rare accomplishment and distinction of having a dual certification as he is both a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He also enjoys teaching and lecturing about orthodontics as a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at University of British Columbia, Graduate Orthodontics Department.
In his personal time, he relishes the time he spends with his wife, 3 children and parents. You can find them biking around the beautiful trails of Steveston and Richmond or enjoying a sunny beach somewhere in the world.

Donna has been at Blundell Orthodontics for 15 years. She loves to interact with patients and get to know them over the time they are at the office. She enjoys spending time with her husband, kids and grandkids. You can find her walking the beach or riding her bike.
Robin
Administrative Assistant/Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Robin has been a part of Blundell Orthodontics for over 15 years and it has become like her second family. She likes to make patients and their families feel welcome and comfortable in the office. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids exploring new places and making the most of each day.
Shannon
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Shannon has been a certified dental assistant for over 20 years, including completing her orthodontic module at UBC in 2004. Shannon enjoys skiing, biking and enjoying the great outdoors of BC with her husband and two teenage sons. She especially loves working with teens and adults alike to help them achieve their best smile.
Kim
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Kim has been an ortho CDA for 15 years. She has worked in other specialities in dentistry but orthodontics is the one she enjoys the most as it allows her to work closely with the patients. She loves spending her free time with her family and friends, enjoying all that the lower mainland has to offer.
